Quotient representation

Given a group representation $\rho: G \to GL(V)$, a quotient representation is a representation of $G$

$$ \tilde{\rho}:G \to GL(V/W), $$

where $W$ is an invariant vector subspace of $V$, defined by

$$ \tilde{\rho}(g): v+W \mapsto \rho(g)(v)+W. $$
